Ship No. 616 - Hudson Light launch
Almost ready for the launch Comment from Albert 21/07/08;- I served on the HUDSON LIGHT as 3rd Officer under Captain Uminski on the Baltic run, in 1972, in company with Jimmy Mallows, and many other Geordie lads who plied me with Newcastle Brown Ale and taught me Geordie sayings including all the verses in The Lambton Worm. I enjoyed my time on her immensely and have fond memories of the ship and the jolly camaraderie across all ranks. The only thing was, when loaded and in shallow water, had it not been for the bow thruster, she would have gone ashore on many more sandbanks than she did. Kind regards to all who built her and those who sailed on her.
