George Henry & Vera Bage

George Henry Bage (1894 - 1967) was born in Tynemouth, Northumberland, England and Vera Isabel Taylor Arundell (1891 - 1970) was born in Sherford, Devon, England. They married June 16, 1923 in Tynemouth, Northumberland, England and emigrated to Australia, circa 1929, with their son George Arundell Bage. They had two children Elizabeth Beatrice Bage (b. Nov 23, 1930) and Lionel John Bage (b. July 20, 1934) in Australia.

George Henry Bage was a deep sea diver, and it is said that he once held the record for the deepest dive. It is believed George was with the Electrical Engineers. possibly working on searchlights. It is said that he was honoured and mentioned in the London Gazette. He was also at the Dardanelles, Turkey. He also worked on Hospital Ships 'Manunda' and 'Akubra' off the coast of Australia.

George and Vera lived in Balmain, Australia.
